1. Why IHO S-44 Matters

TPU95 = a² + (b × depth)², then sqrt
Where a = constant error (m), b = depth‑dependent error (%). For Order 1a, a = 0.25 m, b = 0.0075 (0.75%). For Order 1b, a = 0.5 m, b = 0.013 (1.3%).
